Not a lot of progress…

Just another update on my life and my writing…

I feel really swamped.  There are only like 20 school days left, and it feels like I’m headed on a collision course for the end of this semester at 120 mph.  That means I’m running out of time to finish this novel…and running out quickly.

Probably the biggest thing on my mind right now is this paper for a very, very difficult class.  I’ve done my research, found a few quotes, and I know what I want to say now…but I don’t have a lot of time to get it in.  Basically, I’ve got three hours tomorrow in which to write it…but I also need to read all the submissions for English 318…and do my Arabic homework…

I won’t bore you with all the details.  Just sitting here, I’m sure I could list off a dozen or more urgent things I need to do.  All of it is getting in the way of my goal to finish this novel on time–and I’m definitely going to do that!

Today, I wanted to finish the chapter I’ve been writing…but I ran out of time.  In fact, this whole week I’ve wanted to move this story along, but I haven’t been able to.  It’s really annoying.

I tried the other day to wake up at 6 am and write then, and it actually worked fairly well.  Got 500 words in before I had work.  It was nice.  I’m going to try that again for tomorrow.  Which means that this is the end of this blog post.  Goodnight.
