I just finished the second draft of the beginning of <em>Star Wanderers,<\/em> the novel that came out of nowhere like a surprise baby.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sending it out to my alpha readers now, so I can get some feedback before submitting it to Writers of the Future.\u00a0 If I know you in real life and you want to give it a test read, let me know; it&#8217;s only about 15k words long, so it shouldn&#8217;t take long to read.<\/p>\n<p>So what&#8217;s next?\u00a0 Honestly, I really want to finish <em>Star Wanderers,<\/em> just to see where it goes.\u00a0 But I also want to get back to <em>Desert Stars<\/em>, and after that I&#8217;ll probably want to write the untitled sequel to both <em>Desert Stars <\/em>and <em>Bringing Stella Home<\/em>&#8230;man, so much to write!<\/p>\n<p>One thing I do feel I need to learn, though, is how to write fast.\u00a0 This might sound crazy, but I&#8217;m going to try to finish <em>Star Wanderers<\/em> in the next two weeks.\u00a0 The fastest I&#8217;ve ever been able to finish a novel before is 6 weeks, but with my job ending on Friday, freeing up a large chunk of time, I think I can do this.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d write more, but it&#8217;s late and I&#8217;ve got work at 8:00 am tomorrow, so I&#8217;ll leave you with this: it&#8217;s the song that became the unofficial theme song for <em>Star Wanderers.<\/em>\u00a0 If you listen to it with the premise of the story in mind, I think it&#8217;ll make sense.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I0tuan-cJrY?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"500\" height=\"339\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Have a good night!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s right;
