{"id":551,"date":"2009-04-22T01:12:38","date_gmt":"2009-04-22T08:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/writing\/?p=551"},"modified":"2009-04-22T01:12:38","modified_gmt":"2009-04-22T08:12:38","slug":"almost-halfway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/writing\/almost-halfway\/","title":{"rendered":"Almost halfway&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I crossed the 30,000 word mark on my revision of <em>Genesis Earth<\/em> today.\u00a0 In the old draft, that would be more than halfway through.<\/p>\n<p>However, a lot of that (about 1,700, to be more precise) was adding in new material to fill in some gaps.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not <em>quite <\/em>halfway done yet.<\/p>\n<p>I think I&#8217;m mostly through the rough parts, though.\u00a0 I&#8217;m solidly in the section that I wrote last January, so as long as I can get my character arcs straight and do a better job showing them gradually changing, everything else should go fairly smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>And now I&#8217;m going to get to bed.\u00a0 Even though I don&#8217;t have classes and I could sleep in until noon, I should wake up early.\u00a0 You know, productivity and all that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I crossed the 30,000 word mark on my revision of Genesis Earth today.\u00a0 In the old draft, that would be more than halfway through.
