{"id":208,"date":"2008-04-06T00:51:14","date_gmt":"2008-04-06T07:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/writing\/?p=208"},"modified":"2008-04-06T00:51:15","modified_gmt":"2008-04-06T07:51:15","slug":"wow2500-words","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/writing\/wow2500-words\/","title":{"rendered":"Wow&#8230;2,500 words"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yeah, that&#8217;s quite a bit more than I thought.\u00a0 I started late in the day, in between sessions of conference, and basically just wrote a little bit here and there.\u00a0 Just now, I opened it up to finish up the current chapter, but decided against it since I&#8217;m really tired.\u00a0 Then I did the wordcount, and wow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nHowever, I&#8217;m a little bit worried that I spent too much time writing and not enough time on other things, like homework.\u00a0 Granted, I was ready for a break after a very busy week, but there is another paper coming up and I really need to do research for it.\u00a0 Plus, I didn&#8217;t do so well on the midterm, and that worries me.<\/p>\n<p>But oh well.\u00a0 Tomorrow is Sunday, which means no homework&#8230;except for Arabic.\u00a0 I should have done that today as well.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever.\u00a0 The novel is coming along nicely and that&#8217;s good.<\/p>\n<p>Conference was good&#8211;the parts that I caught, that is.\u00a0 I listened to all three sessions (including priesthood), but slept through some parts and chatted with friends through others.\u00a0 I went for a walk during the first session, so I caught most of it, but not so much the second session.\u00a0 And priesthood I was just hanging out with Steve and some other friends, and we distracted each other through most of it.<\/p>\n<p>One thing from the first session that stood out to me was the speaker who quoted D&amp;C 121.\u00a0 Showing compassion after rebuking is <em>not<\/em> something I&#8217;m good at.\u00a0 In fact, usually I end up chewing people out for little things and leaving afterwards.\u00a0 So that&#8217;s something to work on.\u00a0 I thought that it was really interesting how salvation is something personal, whereas exaltation is something we do as families, not individuals.\u00a0 Dallin H.
