words tonight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Man, it&#8217;s been a busy week&#8211;and a busy weekend!\u00a0 The days are <em>really<\/em> flying by, and it seems like I&#8217;ve got a hundred more things to do than I&#8217;m capable of doing.\u00a0 To complicate things, probably the biggest stress on me right now is finishing this novel&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I <em>think<\/em> I can finish it by April 25th&#8230;I <em>hope<\/em> that I can&#8230;I know that I seriously have a chance that I can&#8230;but I&#8217;m really anxious that I won&#8217;t.\u00a0 And this is a really important goal to me, too.\u00a0 Kind of like a place where I&#8217;m taking my last stand.\u00a0 I always fail to accomplish my other goals, but <em>this <\/em>one&#8230;this one is different.<\/p>\n<p>For that reason, this past week has really stressed me out.\u00a0 I just haven&#8217;t had the time to write.\u00a0 I think I put in at least something every day, but most days it was well under 1,000 words.\u00a0 On Thursday, when I had that really huge poli sci paper, it was only like ten. :blush:<\/p>\n<p>But today was different.\u00a0 Today I secluded myself in the FLSR laundry room and chugged out 1,673 words in an hour.\u00a0 To my surprise, it actually came kind of easy.\u00a0 I think the reason was that there weren&#8217;t other people around.\u00a0 Earlier in the week, I would stop by the capitol house, hoping to get my writing in there&#8230;and then I&#8217;d get distracted by hanging out with all my friends.<\/p>\n<p>So, what did I learn?\u00a0 The best way to write is to put as much distance between yourself and other people as you can!<\/p>\n<p>There was a <em>ton<\/em> of other cool stuff that happened.\u00a0 I had Easter dinner with my sister&#8217;s fiance&#8217;s family.\u00a0 There was a quark writing group on Saturday, and that was fun.\u00a0 I read some genuinely interesting academic articles for PLSC 310, all about bureaucracy, how it forms, how it evolves and grows, and how it leads to the fall of empires.\u00a0 I finished Twilight.\u00a0 I saw Spirited Away (awesome movie!\u00a0 I &lt;3 Miyazaki!).<\/p>\n<p>And besides all that, I just had a general good time.\u00a0 Life is good.<\/p>\n<p>Sorry I don&#8217;t have anything particularly cool to link to.\u00a0 Next
