Two things helped:<\/p>\n
1) I got out of my apartment to write.\u00a0 I actually went to a friend’s house, but I spent a good hour there just writing with minimal distractions (when the distractions came back, I wasn’t able to write anymore), and<\/p>\n
2) I wrote immediately after I’d exercised.\u00a0 My mind was just surprisingly clear, and I finished a scene that I’d been really frustrated with in the last couple of days.\u00a0 So exercising really does help improve your writing–if you write immediately after you exercise.<\/p>\n
I’ve noticed that I fluctuate a lot with this novel I’m writing.\u00a0 Sometimes I think it’s really cool and I want to finish it.\u00a0 Other times I think that my writing is just crap or that it’s not all that interesting.\u00a0 Usually I’m somewhere down the middle, but it does go up and down from time to time.<\/p>\n
I can see the value in getting this book finished, though.\u00a0 And I totally will.\u00a0 I just need to figure out how to move the plot forward, because I just finished writing a really cool, action-filled part in the story, and I don’t know what should follow that.\u00a0 Oh, well–if I overwrite, I can finish it in the 2nd draft.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
