I saw this reading challenge<\/a> on my friend Gamila’s blog<\/a>, and it looked interesting so I decided to join.\u00a0 Basically, you set a goal to read a certain number of books this winter (it should be winter of 2008, but meh), post the list, and then post updates and\/or reviews as you go along.\u00a0 Since I’m already doing something like this for one of my New Year’s resolutions, I thought I’d join in.\u00a0 Here is the list:<\/p>\n

  6. Spin<\/em><\/li>\n
  7. Dreamsnake<\/em><\/li>\n
  8. Wild Seed<\/em><\/li>\n
  9. A Wind in the Door<\/em><\/li>\n
  10. A Swiftly Tilting Planet<\/em><\/li>\n
  11. I, Robot<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I’ll post reviews as I read them.\u00a0 I’m already due to review Dragonsflight, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, <\/em>and The Mote in God’s Eye<\/em>, so I’ll get on that.<\/p>\n

    As far as my writing goes, I haven’t been doing much actual writing…but I’ve been thinking through the plot and some of the basic premises of my story, and it still seems pretty cool in my mind.\u00a0 I’ll have to do it tomorrow (famous last words).<\/p>\n

    Mostly, though, I’ve been spending these last few days of the winter break playing Alpha Centauri<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Man, what a freaking awesome game!\u00a0 It’s like civ2 on steriods in space, with an actual story!\u00a0 So…addicting…fortunately, it loses its allure after a while.\u00a0 And if I’m still addicted after the first week of school, I’ll just delete it. :'(<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
