{"id":107,"date":"2007-12-23T00:48:12","date_gmt":"2007-12-23T06:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/writing\/?p=107"},"modified":"2007-12-23T00:48:12","modified_gmt":"2007-12-23T06:48:12","slug":"hooray-for-christmas-break","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/writing\/hooray-for-christmas-break\/","title":{"rendered":"Hooray for Christmas Break!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finals are OVER!!!\u00a0 Fall semester is FINISHED!!!\u00a0 Holy Cow!\u00a0 And I&#8217;m home for the holidays!\u00a0 That means freedom!&#8230;for a couple of weeks, anyways.\u00a0 So, the question now is: how to use this freedom?\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what I plan to do over the break:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read at least three Sci Fi books and review them<\/li>\n<li>Finish \u0642\u0635\u0635 \u0643\u062a\u0627\u0628 \u0645\u0648\u0631\u0645\u0648\u0646 (Book of Mormon Stories)<\/li>\n<li>Various other Arabic goals (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onelowerlight.com\/arabic\/?p=17\">you can check out my Arabic blog for more specifics on that, if you so desire<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Get up to a certain part in <em>The Lost Colony<\/em> and then make a quick revision<\/li>\n<li>Submit <em>Decision LZ150207 <\/em>to Writers of the Future and some other places<\/li>\n<li>Submit <em>The Clearest Vision<\/em> to a few places<\/li>\n<li>Watch season 3 of Battlestar Galactica<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I have a few Sci Fi books to choose from for the first goal: I&#8217;m currently reading <em>The Mote in God&#8217;s Eye <\/em>by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve also got <em>Neuromancer, Red Mars, Helconia Spring, <\/em>and <em>Starship Troopers<\/em>.\u00a0 I think I&#8217;ll read <em>Neuromancer<\/em> next;
