I think that Isaiah 53 is one of the most beautiful passages of writing in the world. I am so grateful for the vision it gives me of my Redeemer. This last time reading through, what especially struck me was, “when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied . . .”
Happy Easter! He is risen indeed, and death and sin cannot hold those who trust in Him!
Thanks E.C. I’m also a huge fan of Isaiah, especially Isaiah 53. I think it’s the equivalent of John 3:16, but for the Old Testament. So much truth rolled up in a few short verses.
