This was pretty cool. I was wandering around Mecca Mall, the most westernized mall in Amman, and I found this sign right here. Apparently, when the call to prayer happens, this entire floor becomes a prayer area for shoppers. Jordan is full of stuff like this: westernized technology and ways of life mixed with the traditional culture in a way that makes them distinctly Arab, even as they try to imitate the West.
