Never Forget, Never Forgive
Never Forget, Never Forgive
According to our Palestinian tour guide, Israeli schoolchildren come to Masada at least once while they're still in Elementary school for a massive fieldtrip. Masada has become a sort of rallying symbol for Israeli nationalism, and this is why the schoolchildren are brought here. According to our guide, the slogan they are taught--and the slogan that all Israeli's associate with the place--is 'never forget, never forgive.' The idea is that Masada will never fall again.
