Deseret Towers is in the process of demolition. Two of the towers were destroyed earlier this year, and the rest of the towers will be destroyed this fall. The EFY kids who are staying there now will be the last residents. While up in the area, I took the opportunity to run to the top of the dirt pile where the demolished towers once stood to take a few pictures. Those who spent time in DT can feel somewhat emotional about the towers' pending demolition, but it makes sense to tear them down because they are some of the least earthquake-proof buildings on the BYU campus.
