The House of a Prophet
The House of a Prophet
Gordon B. Hinckley, the president and prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, lives in an apartment in Salt Lake city across the street from the Salt Lake temple. This is a picture--he lives on the top floor. I was up visiting my grandparents this past weekend (they live at Eagle Gate on the same block) and I thought I'd snap a picture. It's always been comforting to me to realize that the leaders of the church don't live in multi-million dollar houses and own million dollar cars. In fact, as I listened to President Hinckley speak to the BYU community last month, I was really struck with the impression that he really cares about us as individual members of the church, and has dedicated his life to serving selflessly. He is definitely a man of God.
